Shirts of art: a metrosexual moment

August 17th, 2004 | by Brian |

I was in Neiman Marcus the other day with Dominic and Neely, and saw some very impressive shirts from designer Jhane Barnes. Oh boy, they are expensive: $145-$185. But still, some of the designs are quite nice, and I suppose I can see why they are so expensive if considered art. “Dominoes” has some 3-D action going on, though it’s not my favorite. “Track” is pretty sweet, as is “Pitch”, which might display a Moir effect. “Chevron” and “Linear” are also quite nice, but “Intersect” might be my favorite.

    I’ll bet you’ve never spent $50 on a shirt.
